Professional Activities (selected)

I launched the Amherst Lecture in Philosophy and its associated eponymous e-periodical, The Amherst Lecture in Philosophy.

I also established the educational website AskPhilosophers.org, a public service on the part of philosophers, as well as the AskPhilosophers Fund, its companion charitable organization. AskPhilosophers has spawned a couple of books that have been published internationally; see here for more information.

I was elected the Romanell-Phi Beta Kappa Professor of Philosophy for 2011-12.

I now hold the Rachel and Michael Deutch Professorship in Philosophy at Amherst College.
